Health Equity & Scientific Strategy Consulting

For pharmaceutical companies, cancer centers, foundations, firms, and institutions that need scientific credibility and strategic execution — not just a consultant.

Why This Is Different

Most consultants bring either scientific expertise or strategic experience. I bring both — plus a decade of navigating the exact systems your organization is trying to change.

My background includes published cancer disparities research in triple-negative breast cancer and endometrial cancer, NIH/NCI grant development and program management, federal diversity action plan strategy, and direct community engagement with underrepresented populations across the Southeast. I don't advise on health equity from a distance. I've done the work.

What I Help Organizations Do

Health Equity Strategy

Move health equity from a brochure statement to an operational reality. I help organizations embed equity into scientific design, clinical trial recruitment, community engagement, and organizational culture — with frameworks grounded in research, not trend.

Clinical Trial Diversity Consulting

FDA's DEPICT Act requires diversity action plans for drug approval. I help pharmaceutical and biotech companies design, execute, and document community-centered recruitment strategies for underrepresented populations — particularly in oncology.

NIH & Federal Grant Strategy

I develop, review, and strengthen federal grant applications for research institutions, HBCUs, and cancer centers. With direct NCI grant management experience and a track record of successfully funded R25 programs, I know what reviewers are looking for.

Scientific Advisory & Program Development

For organizations building or expanding research programs, workforce pipelines, or community science initiatives, I serve as a fractional scientific advisor — bringing PhD-level credibility and program management expertise without a full-time hire.

Ideal Consulting Clients

Organizations I typically work with:

Oncology-focused pharma and biotech companies

Cancer research centers and NCI-designated cancer centers

HBCUs and minority-serving research institutions

Health equity foundations and grant-making organizations

Also, a strong fit for:

Federal agencies and their grantees (NIH, CDC, HRSA)

Clinical research organizations (CROs) expanding diversity programs

Academic medical centers building community research partnerships

Early-stage biotech needing fractional scientific leadership

How We Work Together

Consulting engagements are project-based or retainer-based, depending on your organization's needs. All engagements begin with a 30-minute discovery call to assess scope and fit.

  • Project-based — defined scope, deliverables, and timeline. Best for grant reviews, strategy documents, and program assessments.

  • Retainer — ongoing advisory relationship with defined monthly hours. Best for organizations in active program development or grant cycles.

  • Advisory Board / SAB — quarterly or semi-annual engagement as a named scientific advisor. Available for a limited number of organizations annually.

Investment varies based on scope and duration. Contact me to discuss your project.
